MooNoi
When I first came to LOS the only beers I can recall being available were Singha, Singha Gold and Kloster. When was that?? 1943?? How long has Chang been around???
SiLeakHunt
Beer Lao Lovely taste, bit too strong for a long session though. Cheers
ThaiHome
Also missed is ThaiBev's Federbrau, the latest entry trying to replace the much missed Carlsberg which disappeared from Thailand in something like 2004. TH

When was that?? 1943?? I'm not that old! It was 1988. How long has Chang been around??? Apparently 1994, but I'm sure it was later than that before I first heard of it. ALHOLK
I'm not that old! It was 1988. Then Amarit should have still been available. I came the first time in 1982. At that time Amarit was one of the major beer brands (unfortunately) but it didn't disappear until in the 90:ies.
zzzz
My favorite is Yeungling, made in the oldest USA brewery not too far from where I live. I like the yeasty taste of a fresh brew. In LOS, the local stuff that I like is Tiger.
The_Munchmaster
Amarit does seem a familiar name. But then 21 years is a long time.

The_Munchmaster
Yes, it was a good beer. Of course the brewery manager was Scottish.
FreeTime
My Thai fridge is always stocked with Red Horse. Brewed in Pathumthani by the San Miguel company. Seems only to be sold in large bottles, and is strong at 6.9%. Available at Carrefour and Tesco Lotus. Tiger gets a vote otherwise. Outside the country, Holsten beer from Germany (7%)is good.
