Possible to enter a country on the sly?

On commercial ships or US military, the civilians working on the ships had a "Z" card which was the same as a passport and allowed entry into countries and access to ports. It is the size of a driver's license and showing it to Immi, would enable on to enter most countries, and never get stamped in. The Z card was issued by the US Coast Guard but now replaced with a passport type document, not sure if they stamp the new MMC or not, been out of the game so never seen the new doc.

I've been told that if you go to the Lao casino near Chiang Saen that passports are not checked on the main Thai immigration computer, they just stamp you in and stamp you out.

There are hundreds... thousands?... of expats in the country illegally. I know some personally. You just keep a low profile and don't do anything that will lead to your passport being inspected.

I shoulda been a bit more specific...I was actually talking about Indonesia. I have a girl there and I was very taken with the hordes of girls there who were very friendly and beautiful and were incredibly easy to meet!

Easy, buy a yacht and live in Darwin.

LOL! Sherlock Troy cuts to the chase once again.

Cuba don't stamp passports if you ask them not to - this allows Americans to keep a clean passport when visiting through a third country, but they do it for an nationality.

A few local banknotes in the passport might persuade the officer to 'forget' to stamp you in, but it's more likely to persuade them to throw you in chokey instead. Let us know how Indonesian prisons compare to LOS prisons.

How many live on the lamb in any country?

Crossing the border doesn't seem too difficult. Can you swim at night?

But then what?

All the hotels I have stayed at ask for your passport.

I suppose one could purchase a 'novelty' passport.
