With such a short time out there where would be the best place to stay? The priority would be a chilled out place with the options of some trips. MooNoi Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 If you've got a week, have a couple of days in Saigon (probably need 3 or 4 days, but can still do enough stuff there in 2 if you have to). Hoi An, my favourite town in Vietnam for 3 nights. Super-cheap clothes made up there, beautiful beaches at Cua Dai and a very nice vibe. Access through Danang and then taxi for 30 minutes to Hoi An. 3 nights in Hanoi with a day-trip or, preferably, an overnight on a boat in Halong Bay. This would be a nice way to spend a week in Vietnam in my opinion. Can get super-cheap flights from Saigon to Danang and Danang to Hanoi on Jetstar at www.jetstar.com Hope this helps. Moo.
