Bangkok Post

3:38pm

About 20 armoured personnel carriers have been despatched from a cavalry battalion at Kiak Kai intersection to various important government installations [color:red]to prevent the red shirts breaking into the compounds with six-wheeled trucks the same way they did at parliament[/color], army spokesman Col Sansern Kaewkamnerd said.

He said those important locations included the First Army headquarters, the Army headquarters, and the Sisao Theves residence of Privy Council chairman Prem Tinsulanonda.

The Centre for Public Administration in Emergency Situations (CPAES) decided to do this at its meeting on Saturday morning when Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban raised concern over use of six-wheeled trucks by the red shirts to break through cordons of troops and police.
