yet
I plan on visiting BKK for a few days sometime between June and July 15. Hope all is jai-yen then but if not, want to stay away from the heat. Only been in BKK a few times, know the layout a little, but not real well. My hotel would be in the area of the Saphan Taksin skytrain stop. As the hotel does not have proper bathing facilities, I would be bathing near the Huai Khwang BTS station. I know things change, but up until now, how well do these locations stay out of the heat? Thanks in advance.
LizardKing
Huh? WTF? You really think heat (in any sense) is different within blocks of each other in BKK????? Are you an idiot or a troll; or clarify... How many trolls are here? This is twice in a week. Why am I? Buh bye.

As the hotel does not have proper bathing facilities, I would be bathing near the Huai Khwang BTS station. Sorry, but I have to ask. Why go across town to bathe? Or do I misunderstand the meaning of the word bathe? If you're a farang, I imagine you could sneak a quick shower by the pool at The Oriental or other nearby hotels. Specialist
Last I saw, the trouble was listed as being around Ratchaprasong intersection. Basically, that's around the Central World mall, between Chit Lom and Siam BTS stations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Map_Siam_Ratchaprasong.png Ratchaprasong is the light green area on the map. a safe distance away. bust
As the hotel does not have proper bathing facilities, I would be bathing near the Huai Khwang BTS station. I was unaware of hotels catering for brits in LOS
tartempion
I would advise the OP to book The Emerald hotel, a one minute walk from the Huai Kwang MRT (not BTS) Nataree bath is between hotel and station, hotel also have big bath no ladies second building 15th floor. Don't wank the water there.
