Now does this officially change things?

Is the "protest" now officially "paid for revolt" against the existing gov?

Treason charges can be filed?

It's a shame that some genuine pro-democracy folks have been caught up with this lot. There is an academic group of red shirt supporters (uni profs and the like) who are still pissed off by the 2006 coup and the military's interference in politics. But they would likely be very disappointed if the Takkyites returned to power.

Isn't there some strange policy here whereby if you are a serving policeman or soldier and you die then you get promoted a number of ranks posthumously? My understanding is that it increases the pension payments made to family, amongst who knows what other benefits.

I've seen it in applied to past events. e.g. Every private killed fighting the Japanese invasion on 8 Dec 1941 seems to be listed in the rolls of casualties as a sergeant.

Don't think it applies if you were killed off duty, as Seh Daeng was.

p.s. Love the photo of Takky shopping at Louis Vuitton in Paris. How the guy must suffer and "feel their pain" for the poor reds in Bangkok. :(
