<< Yet so far not a single Yellow Shirt leader has been punished. When asked about it, Prime Minister Abhisit says the investigation is in the hands of the police. But it has been almost two years and it is not a case for Sherlock Holmes. We know who these people are and what they did.

They set the template for the Reds." >>

So which red shirt leader has been punished for trashing the ASEAN conference in Pattaya, not to mention literally trashing the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel? And which rednik has been punished for the Songkran riots last year.

NO RED OR YELLOW SHIRT LEADER HAS BEEN PUNISHED ... so far. So your point is? :hmmm:

The other lie s that Thaksin didn't get the popular vote,

he got 66% of the vote however because 38 TRT candidates didn't get the 20% minium under the law at the time the VOTES DIDN'T COUNT

Gee how democratic is that?

BLOODY HELL!!! The election was boycotted by most parties. So big farking deal, TRT got 66% of the votes cast when NOBODY ELSE WAS RUNNING.

This must be what true democracy means. ;)

p.s. Is this thread a Monte Python sketch? "It is not dead. It's sleeping." :banghead:

I was waiting for you to say that. The yellow shirt leaders also surrendered following the airport seizures. The red leaders are being held under the emergency powers. No emergency was declared by Somchai's government and the yellow dudes couldn't be held.

The red shirts who have been arrested and tried were the guys who set up the road block and were "inspecting" all cars coming into Bangkok to make sure they didn't have soldiers in the boot! :p

LOL! Yet he could not pull together enough votes to be PM. Obviously you've miscalculated here.

Every democracy I know of has minimum vote rules for certain things (varies amongst countries what that is). Nothing undemocratic about that at all, unless you feel that less than 20% are entitled to tell the other 80+% what to do. Isn't that what you are accusing the non-reds of doing? Funny how the truth comes out...

The call that "projection" BTW.

So what exactly was the point of boycotting that election? It would seem to me, the people who were interested would vote, no matter what. The fact that they didn't show up tells me they could care less...or were arrogant enough to think they would win no matter what...which was apparently wrong...
