Mekong
TH You are correct in your understandig there has to be a guarantee to extradite ton UK. Just thinking to myself, if he was arrested on arrival is he technically in the UK?
Flashermac
Thinking like a lawyer! Still, he is a Brit on British soil. Be difficult to get around that.
simie
I hope he does get whats coming to him, assuming he is guilty of course which does appear to be the case from what I've heard about this case? But as Mekong has stated not a hope in hell of a British court sending him back unless the Thais guarentee to waive the death penalty. Also lets hope they don't fuck up the paper work/evidence or he'll walk. Simie.
Flashermac
If he walks, he won't walk far or for long. Lots of former Marines around and hitmen are very cheap here. And I am not bullshitting.
TheCorinthian
Lots of former Marines would not need to hire a hit man....
shygye
I believe the USA could also prosecute, since a US citizen was murdered.
Hugh_Hoy
I'd rather see him do life in a Thai prison, if the death penalty was not available. Also, no reason for the U.S.to have to support this perp, although he probably wouldn't last as long in a U.S. prison as he would in a Thai prison. He'd feel how it feels to be Mrs. Bubba until Mr. Bubba and his buddies got tired of his sorry ass. (pun intended). HH
TheCorinthian
Totally agree. I would rather see him rot in Thai jail, myself.
Flashermac
Lots of former Marines would not need to hire a hit man.... Yeah, but this way they can all take part by chipping in to pay for his extermination.
