Palatkik
Budget airlines are usually just point to point. So if you are going to Darwin via Sing you will have to be hopeful the first sector arrives on time with your bags to collect so that you don't miss the second check in at Singers, the airline won't care. That's my exp with Air Asia at least.
Hamokhamok
Thanks for that. Alternative arrangements have been made witch leaves me now with a little over 5 hours between flights. Also now travelling with Cathay Pacific which should be ok.

MooNoi
Hamok, I have done the Jetstar transit at SIN, and yes, I had to go through immigration, collect bags, go back to departures and check in again. Not that painful somewhere like Singapore - very easy. However, a damn waste of space needing 2 stamps in your passport for a 3 hour stay!
Hamokhamok
Just an update. Travelled with Cathay. Spent just 1 hour trying to get through Immigration. Some people not very happy with the time it took and voiced this with the Immigration which of course only slowed things up more. A few more disgruntled people lane hopped which again upset people. I found Singapore airport somewhat difficult to get around. The signs seemed to be all on side walls which of course you'll have passed before you realise you were going the wrong way. Many people got caught this way. Anyway I'm over that now and enjoying my short stay in Sydney. Will be back in Bangkok on Monday night next for 4 nights.
