rchapstick
Completely new, from the ground up, would be Denver
LizardKing
Detroit was too. Everything razed, terminals relocated even. Just the land the same (well, a couple of runways survived). Much newer than Denver.
USVirgin
The same architects who did DIA are doing the Bradley terminal. Let's hope the baggage system works this time around.
Bangkoktraveler
Gotta vote for LAX s the worst, with special consideration for the TBIT Int'l terminal as "Most Representative of a Third World Nation" status. I've actually always liked LGA ... Too bad LAX didn't keep the National Guard with their M16s there permanently. They gave the airport the proper tinge everybody should remember it for. Does anybody remember seeing the Sherriff Department running around with their assault rifles?
TroyinEwa/Perv
LK is right. DTW is much newer than DEN. I was actually at Stapleton (the old Denver airport) when the new one was supposed to open. But because of the fucked up baggage transport system, I had left before the move took place, back in the early to mid 90's, thanks imaginary fairy in the sky!!
