MooNoi
Why not a simple Tuk-Tuk?] A saam-lor (which literally translates to "three wheels") is also known as a tuk tuk up in Isaan. Mostly by farangs, but I've also heard local people refer to them as tuk tuks. Not same same as the tuk tuks you see in Bangkok or the tuk tuks you see in Cambodia. (Shown in pic). Nervous God
I think the one that Tempie is referring to is the same as you see vendors using to selling things, it's a side cart. Unless he got the actual real Isaan TukTuk then they are cool! The one in piggies pick is I think a cambodian one, not a thai one. Note the 4 wheels. Nervous God
Tartie! Well done! I love those! I have a brochure on my desk on the different models, good shop in Sawang sells them. The shockies can be pretty shocking though!
tartempion
Thanks for that coss. Flash, that's a really nice samlor for the freezing countries. yep after our first ride to the rice field on the dirt track yesterday GF said she would get hanging tits real soon and her "mod look?" (ovaries?) would come out. It takes some strength to control the steering trough the potholes without getting into the rice paddies. Blacktop speed 40kmh, dirt road 5kmh But I can bring it all to the field: relax chair, books, ice box, beers even the MIL....her tits have been hanging down for many years since she delivered 6 babies.... Khun_Kong
That is a very cool looking machine! Looks like fun and convenience in 1 package. Does it have side curtains for the rain? What kind of fuel does it burn? Electric start?
Nervous God
Very common in Northern Isaan, it's our version of tuktuk. Electric start, plastic roll down for rain. Comes in a range of colours, made in Udon, plus "extra's"
