huumlaar Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 You left out the most important bit! The blood isn't thrown away but reused.
Coss Posted November 23, 2012 Author Report Posted November 23, 2012 We consumed all of it in the first sitting, so I guess I didn't see that bit.
Guest Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 great stuff!! good job at documenting it too!
Redbaron Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 The blood itself was it cooked coss? or just poured on raw?
The_Munchmaster Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Appears to be raw mixed with fish sauce and lemongrass infused water, then a little lemon juice to congeal it. Nice photo sequence Coss but not sure I want to eat the dish?
Coss Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Posted November 25, 2012 Well, I gave up worrying about risk and such a while ago. It really is nice to eat, and yes the blood is raw, but congealed. Healthy looking duck - cest la vie... I'm reminded of what Asians used to find unusual about western food: Cheese - rotten milk fat Caviar - raw (salted) fish eggs Etc
Redbaron Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 Just asking - would give it a crack... I survived china in 2006 no pom plem, bit of ducks blood would probably do me good. Looks delicious.
