gobbledonk
That's the forecast for the Western Suburbs of Sydney today - just the latest in a very nasty heatwave here in Oz. Makes LOS look even more attractive than usual, if that's possible.

gobbledonk
That's great coss, but I remember the dust in VT - I also remember the volume of Beer Lao I needed to settle said dust. How the hell I avoided falling down those stairs at BPY is a complete mystery to this day ......

gobbledonk
I'm not in Sydney, but we had the weather they were supposed to get - cool change yesterday saved them. Here in Shitsville, I'm sitting in the dark hoping my laptop has enough juice to last till they get the power back on. Wild electrical storm has taken everything out - the supermarkets included. Even so, I can just walk outside and cool down - I don't know how I'd go on the 30th floor of a building in downtown BKK or Jakarta, emergency generators notwithstanding. Cooler temps tomorrow - booyeah !
Flashermac
Years ago I worked in a then new 14-storey office building. I was on the 13th floor, with a nightclub right over me! When the band would practice early, I'd find somewhere to go. Several times the power went out. For me it meant a long walk down to take a taxi to a hotel for some "work". But most of the people were stuck in the office - with the a/c off, the sun beating down and the windows sealed and unopenable.
