think_too_mut
You already know it. All weather sites use the exact same source for their weather plotting: the government of Thailand (and all other governments whose metheorogical buerau are members) releases data to the public. How would Yahoo or CNN or BBC know the weather in every corner of the planet? All they differ in is how they package it, load with ads, flashes, GUIs. And how fine the granulation is. Raw data is for 6 hours periods. Somebody "first hand" would have insight into the immediate vicinity but no idea what is 5km away or what is coming in 3 hours...unless they look online, as you did. Or watch local TV...that will use the same data as anybody else, including weather sites.

think_too_mut
For the record I find Thai Metrological Department Website most accurate for Thailand Weather. And all other national weather agencies, nobody else does what they do. Others just use their data. Japanese national weather agency has vanilla output (almost character based) with no bells and whistles of iPad or iPhone but they own that data accuracy and are the base for any other "app".
