Hamokhamok
Apparently the Pope has accepted an invitation from the Thai PM to visit Thailand. I wonder will he make a visit to Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy ?

The_Munchmaster
He's just a guy so presumably if he can slip the press he'll get down Cowboy, Nana or Patpong, although he'll need to lose the white gear.

Flashermac
Pope Francis doesn't use the Pope Mobile. He either walks around or just rides in an ordinary car, driving his security crazy. He seems to feel that God might actually protect him, unlike previous popes. p.s. I remember John Paul II in his Pope Mobile in Bangkok, blessing the crowds of Thais along the way - even though probably 90% of them were Buddhists. I have photos at home of the Thai and Papal flags decorating the walls at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. I thought that was sort of cool. Pierre Trudeau and his son visited Wat Pra Kaew too, and the head of my then university's graduate school showed him around, Prince Subhadradis Diskul. Trudeau was a fun politician, not like the silly old farts we have nowadays. ("WHO SAID THAT! WHO SAID THAT! I'LL KICK HIM IN THE ASS! I'LL KICK HIM IN THE ASS!")
