Mekong
I believe this is Japan, judging on the Y symbol? Yuan, Whilst Renminbi is the Currency of China it is divided into Yuan, Jiao (1/10 Yuan) and Fen (1/100 Yuan) and the currency symbol is ¥

waerth
Yes Cavanami I know that. They actually have 3 character sets in Japan. I was thrown of by the Y symbol before the price. Yuan had slipped my mind .... I was indeed thinking Renminbi

khunsanuk
Hi, Different situation. There they will not be stuck in a plastic box for perhaps days, dying of lack of water and food. Sanuk!
think_too_mut
The character set the Japanese use, Kanji, came from China...but never tell that to a Japanese! Why not? They know that and never complain. When Japan adopted kanji, China was the leading nation of the world. Like today, don't tell the world that they have their script from Romans and numbers from Arabs. That "Renmimbi" is "Yenmimbi". Oposite to "Yangoon" is "Rangoon" in Burma. think_too_mut
China Introduces Live Crab Vending Machines [/img] Sounds like the whole country is doing that. Nonsense. One entrepreneur, selling crabs, has tried something that brought him and his shop into the news, for free. Why they have different numbers, one would think they are different packs. No, when one compartment is emptied, it has a red led light, press any other that have green for your merchandise. Basically, he just wanted to advertise, the business of selling fresh crabs is so good (in his shop) that he had to cope with it somehow. The machine was probably 10K US$, peanuts what he would have to pay to papers and TV, whatever to air about his business venture.
