Suthep mentioned this last night, comparing how Tarit is eager to arrest people for blowing whistles, but not for grenade attacks on protesters. But then Tarit was handpicked for his job by Thaksin. What would you expect?

Suthep also said he doesn't consider the divorce real. Everyone knows Takky only divorced Pokemon to help her in her court case. Must have worked, since she got her money back from the court ... with interest!

Rights agency probes whistle protest that targeted Pojaman

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is investigating whether the anti-government protesters who blew whistles at ex-wife of fugitive premier Thaksin Shinawatra at a Bangkok shopping centre last week violated her human rights. :shakehead

Protest leader Taya Teepsuwan and her husband, former Democrat MP Nataphol, blew whistles at Khunying Potjaman Na Pombejra last week.

NHRC chairwoman Amara Pongsapich said a subcommittee of the body was investigating the matter.

Amara said if the probe showed Taya and Nataphol violated Pojaman's rights, they would be prosecuted.

Meanwhile, police say a suspect has been identified over the shooting up of the Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima, home of Taya's mother, Khunying Sasima Srivikorn, early Saturday morning while Khunying Sasima was home.

The incident took place shortly after Taya and her husband blew whistles at Khunying Pojaman. Nakhon Ratchasima police commander Colonel Pongdej Phromijit said police were waiting for a court-approved arrest warrant before arresting a suspect.

Mr Flashermac;

I disagree, surely the right of menopausal women everywhere, to shop for luxury goods, in luxury malls, without being subject to contact with peasants, is paramount!

One thing I've always found quite incomprehensible about Thailand, is that the rich let the public into the places where they shop and eat. I would have thought that extreme wealth, would have guaranteed immunity from having to deal with the proles, except as a passing sideshow seen through a tinted window of an air-conditioned luxury foreign limousine.

T'were I Pokemon I'd be on the phone to Dubai and have all the whistle blowers rounded up, put in a closed truck and left in the sun somewhere. And if there were any murmuring in the masses, this could be dealt with by shooting a few thousand of them, that would keep them quiet for a while.

It must be distressing in the highest degree, to have one's handbag shopping interrupted. Now, many hours of quiet reflection, must be undertaken again, to ensure that only the most suitable handbag, of the finest quality is chosen.

This, to demonstrate to one's peers, that one has the most excellent taste, of all the privileged Chinese women of wealth in the world, who scrabble unseemingly, after luxury trinkets, as though these will guarantee them, a seat at a Gods or Buddhas table.

for those of diminished perception, the above missive, is a tongue in cheek, spit on the floor, from yours truly...

Second grenade attack at residence of rally leader in less than a week

A grenade was thrown into residence of a Sukhumvit residence of a rally leader who blew whistles at ex-wife of fugitive premier Thaksin Shinawatra. However it did not go off although its safety pin was already taken out.

The attack was the second time in less than a week, after a pipe bomb was lobbed into Nuthapol Teepsuwan’s residence in Klong Toey district on February 28.

Nuthapol and his wife; Taya, were among a group of the anti-government protesters who blew whistles at Khunying Potjamarn Na Pombejra at Emporium Shopping Complex late last month.

Pol Sgt Chatree Lekpetch, a bomb squad officer, told INN news agency that police were alerted at about 4am. Initial investigation found that the grenade was M1A9 type.
