Nopporn Inthornsawas, president of Aomtwo Entertainment, threatened to jump from the sixth floor of an office building in Yan Nawa district while his friends and relatives tried to talk him down. Four days ago period comedy “Sri Thanonchai 555+†was released to cinemas, according to witness and acquaintance Pimchana Pimsurasopa. In the following days, it seems no one wanted to see the film. Yesterday it was removed from all theaters except for a few in the capital. After a long time, the 46-year-old film executive changed his mind and proceeded to experience some sort of breakdown. The film cost an estimated THB40 million but only earned THB30,000 at the box office. Pimchana said Nopporn had no prior experience producing films and only did so after a relative persuaded him to join the venture. When the cinemas removed his movie from theaters, Nopporn reportedly became very distressed. He is now in the close care of family, Daily News reported. Sri Thanonchai 555+ is a comedy movie based on a Thai folklore about a crafty boy who uses his wits to take advantage of others.
