Coss
A Thai police force has begun taking a monkey dressed in officer's uniform on patrol each day to help improve relations with Muslim separatists. So... Muslims identify better with Monkeys than Thai Police? that's progressive...

Coss
Maybe they need to watch a few episodes of NCIS or CSI??? They do. One of the Chiefs involved in the Erawan Shrine bombing was quoted as saying that the slow progress was because the RTP did not have the advanced tech of the CSI tv show. And the way he said this showed that he believed that what they did on the TV show, was real. I know a number of Thai and Lao people, who have to be told, that CSI and movies etc, are not real. They thought that it's all real foreign magic. Raises eyes to heaven, despair evident on face, gives up on ill-educated numpties.

Flashermac
<< ABC announced the cancellation of Police Squad! after four of its six episodes had aired in March 1982. The final two episodes were aired that summer. According to the DVD Commentary of "A Substantial Gift" (episode 1), then-ABC entertainment president Tony Thomopoulos said "Police Squad! was cancelled because "the viewer had to watch it in order to appreciate it." What Thomopoulos meant was that the viewer had to actually pay close attention to the show in order to get much of the humor, while most other TV shows did not demand as much effort from the viewer. In its annual "Cheers and Jeers" issue, TV Guide magazine called the explanation for the cancellation "the most stupid reason a network ever gave for ending a series." >> Wikipoodle p.s. It was brilliant!
