bust
At least 14 dead in San Bernardino shooting At least 14 people could be dead in the San Bernardino shooting, police have announced. Another 14 have been wounded, but authorities at a press conference warned those numbers are preliminary. "We do have numbers of upwards of 14 people that are dead and upwards of 14 people that are injured. We think those are pretty reliable. They are subject to change." San Bernardino police chief Jarrod Burguan said there was no known motive for the shooting which happened around 11am Wednesday local time (0500 AEST Thursday) at the Inland Regional Centre. Up to three gunmen were involved. "They were dressed and equipped in a way to indicate that they were prepared. They were armed with long guns, hand guns," he told reporters. He said the men were still at large after fleeing in a black SUV. He said the centre was the "only active scene". "We don't have any information or any credible threats to any other facilities at this point but obviously we are all on a heightened sense of alert," Chief Burguan said. Several hundred people in the building at time of shooting were safely evacuated. Bomb technicians are checking suspect items in building. FBI David Bowditch told the press conference they could not say yet if the San Bernardino shooting was terror related. "We start with the beginning, working with our local partners," he said. "We take the presumption that it may be, it may not be but we will work hand in hand with them from the beginning." When asked if any threats had been made prior to this incident, Chief Burguan said "I am not going to talk about that right now."

Flashermac
Those are the police? They look like a bunch of out-of-shape guys dressed of as soldiers to be movie extras. p.s. A man and a woman shot up "a holiday party at a center for people with developmental disabilities". WTF? << Some investigators said they believed that one of the attackers had worked at the facility and recently had a dispute with fellow employees, according to law enforcement officials who did not want to be identified Chief Burguan confirmed that someone left the party after a dispute, “but we have no idea if those were the people that came back.†>> That makes this "workplace violence", but Obama won't call it that unless the shooters were Muslims. << California has the strictest gun laws in the nation, according to the most recent report card by the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. It is among a handful of states that ban sale or possession of many assault weapons, including the most common models, although people owned those firearms before they were banned are allowed to keep them. It was not known where and how the suspects obtained their weapons. >> But that won't stop a demand for more laws. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/03/us/san-bernardino-shooting.html?_r=
Flashermac
"One of the suspects involved in the San Bernardino shootings has been identified as Syed Farook, an inspector with the county health department, who abruptly left the event at the Inland Regional Center before the shootings, multiple law enforcement sources tell CNN. "The family has not been able to track down recently named suspect Syed Farook or his wife since Wednesday morning, said Hussam Ayloush, executive director of CAIR (the Council on American Islamic Relations)." http://edition.cnn.com/2015/12/02/us/san-bernardino-shooting/ Obviously "workplace violence" again. Flashermac
14 dead and 17 injured. However this changes things. It obviously was only "workplace violence". "The two attackers were named as Syed Rizwan Farook, a 28-year-old man, and Tashfeen Malik, a 27-year-old woman. Police said they were in a relationship and possibly married. "The chase came about four hours after Farook had left a gathering of fellow public health employees of San Bernardino county where he worked. Police said he was angry and left early only to return with his partner. Both were heavily armed." http://www.theguardi...g-live-coverage
Flashermac
I knew it! "An FBI official, David Bowdich, said it was too early to class this as an act of terrorism:" 14 dead, 17 wounded, explosives all over the place ...just an ordinary dispute between friends. Inshallah.
Flashermac
Authorities were investigating terror links after a government worker and his wife shot up his San Bernardino, Calif., office party Wednesday, killing 14 people. Photo: AP Syed Farook, 28, a devout Muslim, stormed out of the festivities and later returned with his newlywed wife, Tashfeen Malik, 27. Both donned dark, tactical gear and masks while toting assault rifles and handguns, police said. Photo: Reuters The murderous duo sprayed bullets inside a conference room, slaughtering colleagues who earlier this year had thrown a shower for their new baby. In addition to the dead, 17 were seriously wounded. No motive was immediately determined, but the Joint Terrorism Task Force was investigating and the city’s police chief declared early Thursday, “We have not ruled out terrorism.†... http://nypost.com/20...-in-california/
