One is most gratified and I approve of the actions taken on May 6, 2016, by the ruling National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO).

I am sure that everyone on this forum will agree with me that people who are failing to criticize or take other action against the nasty elements of Thai society deserve everything they get.

And I would, like many others on this board, never think otherwise.

Thank you Bubi.

I am also appalled by the UPR Working Group in Geneva, whom, on Wednesday will subject The Kingdom to a review session together with 13 other countries.

This is untenable, Thailand need not allow comment from people abroad, to affect the internal affairs of the sovereign state that is Thailand.

Whilst becoming the Hub of everything and anything, is an oft promoted goal of the Thai people, this is one Hub, Thailand could do without.

I feel, like many here, that people abroad, should look to their own societies and refrain from judging the glorious and wonderful marvel, that is modern Thailand.

"THAILAND is likely to receive a record number of recommendations in Wednesday’s human-rights review by the United Nations Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review Working Group"

That would explain many things.

And surely, the UN will realise the error of it's ways and promote Thailand's UN Security Council Bid in an unhindered manner.

The election of the new set of the non-permanent members will be held on June 28, and Bangkok believes its bid will be successful, as it should be.

The guidance that the UN brings the world, lacks depth and wisdom, attributes, that the prestigious Generals leading Thailand are well known to possess, in large quantity and would contribute beneficially to the UN position.

I for one believe and I have support amongst the members here, that this is an important juncture for the world and we should marshall our influence to support Thailand's bid for the security council in any way we can.

Certainly naysayers, such as the people behind the opinion here http://bit.ly/1T6dSqW, should be invited to Bangkok for a full and frank discussion on the effect of their errant opinions, and that's all they are, just opinions, opinions that damage the perception, of the good work the authorities are doing, for the wealth and health of the Thai people.
