I don't like it too much because it sits at a place where I tend not to go, that being a decent middle ground place to base yourself. I tend to stay in apartments, houses or 5* hotels.

I might have to agree that some od the people here tend to be grouchy. Still, there are those people like me who are more friendly and will find time to engage with other forum participants, including those who are new here.
