frogpatrol
So, How did those 3 power teams from nnp make out? A clean sweep of gold, silver, and bronze? BTW, like your avatar, Racha, and very interesting indeed where it came from! froggo
racha
We did not star last night that is for sure, A few of us got of to a drunken start by hitting some of the bars in Soi 33 and my report below stands to be corrected by anybody else that was there not as drunk as I was or has a better memory at least, We managed to get 3 teams together and two of the teams managed to get some prizes though, with the A team consisting of Long Gun, Itsmedave,Bangkok George and Pom Michael getting third place and winning some T-shirts, The B team consisting of Bangkok Phil,Liverpool Jim,Irish Colin and myself put in a dismal performance and managed second last place though we won one bonus round and got some nice Jack Daniel Mugs and some Carlsberg beer's. The music rounds were the ones the B team lost badly on just for the record. The C team consisting of Max, Gummigut, Marcel and someone else who I do not know or can not remember finished some where around the middle places,
Pom Michael
I was appointed board scribe last night. NPF1 : Long Gun Itsmedave BKK George PM NPF2: Racha Liverpool Jim BKK Phil Irish Colin (no board name) NPF3: Gummigut MadMax/Max + 2 others Each round has a total of 50 points, we started slow and came back. Round 1 : 35 points Round 2 : 30 points (we were boosted up to the average of 66 at this point). Round 3 : 38 points Round 4 : 36.5 points. The max that any team got was 44.5 points. The Bulls Head format is different from the Londoner and Dubliner, not better or worse but different. It is free, and there are many more prizes to win. One question per round is always Thai related, and another is always James Bond related. 15 questions on general knowledge (2 points each) per round. * What is the name for a female badger ? * Capital of The Bahamas ? * Best selling cookie brand name in the world ? * What metal is a liquid at room temperature ? * In Sanskrit, what means Great King ? * Who is on the back of a new UKP 10 note ? * What was the first space shuttle named ? * Who is 7th in line to the British crown ? 10 pictures (1 point each) per round. a. Current people in the news (we got 9/10) b. People from old Life magazine covers (8/10) c. Flags of Asean countries (10/10) d. Cartoon characters (8.5 of 10 - need to watch the cartoon channel more) 5 songs (2 points each) per round. Need to name the title and the artist. Some answers were : Robbie Williams Red Hot Chili Peppers (twice) Blur 3rd Eye Blind Cardigans Semisonic (twice) Moby Blink182 Cast Oasis Verve The table round questions are basically an educated guess. "When was the first submarine invented" "What country invented/first ate ice cream" "When was the first refrigerator invented" "What year was bread first sold sliced" Answers anyone ??? The DET5 team won again (same as the last Londoner quiz). Their total was 146 points, second was a team with 144.5 points and NPF1 had 140.5. All in all, a great time. Cheers!
