This has been my experience, mainly they state up front that they have a "joiner" fee of 500bht (or what ever) for guests. When I contact the hotel directly, they told me of no such policy. A few other hidden things like that. I find the best price is directly with the hotel, sometimes at the Thai airways hotel counter at the airport. Guest Posted August 10, 2002 Report Share Posted August 10, 2002 asiatravel.com is good value, rooms cheaper than walk-in (bangkok, Pattaya, Manila, Tagaytay)but Indochinatour.com is suspicious. They even promote hotels which do not exist anymore(Pailin Hotel in Phnom Penh). I would not be surprised if someone should end paying for an hotel without having a room at all. Robbie9god Posted August 11, 2002 Report Share Posted August 11, 2002 Just checked on-line prices for Ambasador hotel on soi 11 with hotelpricechecker and got a rate of $23(973bht) through asiavoyage24.com compared to 1200bht with siam on-line for the same nights.Has anybody else booked with this company and are they reliable?
