spirit_of_town_hall
Is the mob still prevalent now? I thought all their senior members were in prison or on some sort of witness protection scheme. Organised crime these days seems to be people from the Balkans, particularly Albania STH

STH, as long as a Westerner does not interfere in their 'business' they are absolutely immune. Normally Westerners have no contact to Yakuzas. There are a lot of Japanese Brazilians working in Japan. They are mostly second or third generation Japanese whos parents or grandparents left the country mainly after WWII to look for a brighter future in Brazil and also other countries of South America, such as Peru. If one doesn't know it, they don't look like Brazilians but like Japanese. Only difference - when they come over here they hardly do speak Japanese. It's not easy for them to adapt in Japan.
