Out of interest would the Yakuza ever harm a westerner or are westernerrs pretty much immune, also do you know why there are so many Brazilians in Japan?

STH,

as long as a Westerner does not interfere in their 'business' they are absolutely immune. Normally Westerners have no contact to Yakuzas.

There are a lot of Japanese Brazilians working in Japan. They are mostly second or third generation Japanese whos parents or grandparents left the country mainly after WWII to look for a brighter future in Brazil and also other countries of South America, such as Peru. If one doesn't know it, they don't look like Brazilians but like Japanese. Only difference - when they come over here they hardly do speak Japanese. It's not easy for them to adapt in Japan.
