(UTI) Lower urinary tract infection

I may have caught this from a pataya girl where my condom broke. She had some foul smell from her puss that i suspected was vaginosis. Maybe 3 weeks now and i have had in the last few days a clear discharge and dry lips. Like a leaky valve. Had a urine test, doc said had an increase in white blood cells (20%), and said it was most likely a lower Urinary infection. Gave me antibiotic (Cyprobay) to take for a week. 2 days now and its still leaking.

Yesterday i had a re-outbreak of herpes on forskin, same place as before, caught this maybe a year ago. Usually takes a week for it to subside. But that didn't happen until after i saw the doctor.

Felt a bit weak and woozy tonight, perhaps the atibiotic, or from doing alot of walking, or general worry.

Anyone experienced similar circumstances or can give a clearer idea of what this might be?

Stew,

Lectures and what not aside. I would go see another doctor. This can be serious, and mis diagnosed. Perhapes an STD specialist is best, just as a precaution. If in BKK, I believe Bumrangrad Soi 3 has a good department, not to expensive either. As for discharge, if necessary, wear a condom to contain the flow in public, but frequently change it, and clean the area thouroughly. One important note, when you see the new doctor (ASAP!!!) make sure you tell him you have herpes, and what you take for suppression therapy (if anything) and how else you treat it. Take care, good luck, and let us know how you make out. But above all else, see another doctor NOW!!!!

Yes, in the general clinics at Bumrungrad there is an infectious disease specialist ... call to inquire about his hours before you go.

I agree with OH on this one, I'd get a second opinion if I were you. Whatever you do, don't go to the urologist, if Chosin is his name!

... the jerk misdiagnosed me, and it cost me a lot on antibiotics which I never needed; and, yes, they made me feel sick too! :nono:

Dont get the concerns and go to see another doctor stuff here.....seems like both you and original doc have diagnostic grip, if a little imprecise, and a therapy. Why dont you just take the pills and only if they dont work, explore other avenues?

Point is, it can get worse if mis diagnosed. Antibiotics may make the infection resistant to other therapy., and more difficult to cure, and more suffering. Some UTI's can cause permanent damage, so nothing to take lightly. Additionally, he said it seemed to be the same or worse, or not getting any better. Also, a broken condom in "a stinky pussy" was involved, so could be all sorts of things, which doctors can easily mis diagnose! So I would definitely go get a second opinion if it was my UT and dick involved, hence I advise others as well. You do what you want to with yours...
