Stickman
Yep, the 3 bars in the middle of Nana Plaza were pulled down about 10 days ago or so. Here's how it looked last Friday:

Nervous God
I think we owe a thanks to our fearless photographer, again putting his life in danger, by venturing into Nana Plaza at night.
Flashermac
This is for safety reasons. If there is a fire, people will still be trampled as they try to escape from the plaza, but now there will be room to stack the bodies.
TroyinEwa/Perv
I think the reasoning is piss-poor. How long have there been bars in the middle?? A decade? Longer? It was fine before. I think someone missed a few tea payments. And now just watch and see how many motocys are parked in there or even cars. Nothing will be gained, imo, by knocking down these bars. Flashermac
The bars in the middle appeared around the early 1990s and have probably been there close to 20 years. I remember in the 1980s it parking space for cars, but there were far fewer bars then.
TroyinEwa/Perv
Exactly my point. After 20 years, they now decide it's a fire hazard. Something stinks and it aint smoke.
