The_Munchmaster
Final score Europe 16.5 v 11.5 USA. Bit of a gubbing really!
Mekong
Why is this in the Scotland Thread? There was only one Jock in the European team, Stephen Gallacher, and his record of Played 2 Lost 2 is nothing to write home about, the only player on the european team not to score a single point, and to think these fools wanted independence. dean
Just a wild guess, but it was played in Scotland. A major complaint about the Ryder Cup is the way that courses are selected. It is rarely contested on a championship course, like St. Andrews or Oakmont.. You never hear about the players complaining about how the course was toughened up, as they are for majors. Money drives the selection of Ryder Cup venues. Concerning the recent domination of Europe, maybe the U.S. Should let the Europeans take the place of the U.S. In the President's Cup. Or, just re-format the Ryder Cup and let the Europeans play the rest of the world. I can't see the U.S. contending over the next 2-3 Ryder Cups. The_Munchmaster
Yes Mekong, the Ryder Cup was held at Gleneagles in Scotland, hence it's in the Scotland thread, although it might not have been had Dean not requested it. Of course, only a bloody fool wouldn't have recognised the connection.
