Flashermac
The surprising thing is that Clive Dunn was about 20 years younger than the character he played. He did it so well, I thought he really was as old as LCpl Jones.
Boo Radley
Yeah, I thought the exact same thing when I was reading about him recently. Was surprised to discover he was only 50 or so when he was playing 70+ year old grandads. I thought he really was that old lol

kamui
Larry Hagman star of Dallas dies at 81 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20474197 Hagman is still famous in Germany. Last year I he appeared in German tv commercials for solar panels, with his typical Texas dress and his laugh. He still looked good. Here are the US versions of the commercials: http://youtu.be/4_WZkAwpzMY http://youtu.be/P5fZqcCX23g
Flashermac
I never watched Dallas, but my female Thai colleagues were addicted to the show! Basically, the guy drank him to death - even after a liver transplant. Five bottles of champagne a day?
