Flashermac
I know a Canuck who got a soccer scholarship to the University of Alabama. Two comments: 1) He is about 6' 2'. 2) I didn't even know that UA had a soccer team.

limbo
Bacary Sagna signs 3 year contract with Man City, a free move from Arsenal after his contract ran out this summer.
The_Munchmaster
Adebayor, Toure, Nasri, Clichy and now Sagna all to Man City. It always hurts when players go to rivals, particularly rivals who win the league, but Arsenal did recoup £73 million in fees for the first four, although not sure what they did with it? Van Persie to Man U hurt the most though and now rumours that Vermaelen is going to Man U as well. However he has been a peripheral player the last couple of seasons and hopefully his departure will force Arsenal into buying a quality central defender replacement. teddy
Vermaelen was a liability last season. Van Gal obviously thinks he can turn him around but it's no loss for Arsenal.
