bust
Terrorists across Syria know who to call when their toilet clogs. Last December, Mark Oberholtzer, owner of Mark-1 Plumbing in Texas City, got quite a surprise when a pick up truck he had sold three years earlier was photographed in Syria being used by terrorists as a combat vehicle. The widely shared photo depicted militants firing a heavy artillery weapon out of the bed of Oberholtzer’s F-250, which still displayed a logo for Mark-1 Plumbing and the business’s phone number on the driver’s side door. In the year since the image went viral — it even appeared on US television in reports. Oberholtzer has been subject to thousands of threatening phone calls, visits from the FBI and Homeland Security, and has even had to shut down his business and leave town, according to CNN. Now, Oberholtzer is suing the AutoNation Ford Gulf Freeway dealership where he traded the truck in for not removing the decal from the truck’s door. According to the lawsuit, Oberholtzer says he had attempted to remove the decal himself, but a dealer stopped him because he might damage the paint job. The suit says AutoNation assured Oberholtzer they would remove it themselves before reselling the car. Oberholtzer is seeking $1 million in damages. Oberholtzer’s is only one of many American vehicles that has ended up in the hands of terrorists overseas. Toyotas are reprtedly the preferred method of transport for jihadists, but seeing as how Mark-1’s Ford ended up on the frontline, apparently they’ll make exceptions for sweet decal jobs. Coss
On an oft observed tangent, I've always wondered why these Jihaddy baddies, on their quest to return to life in the middle ages, are happy to use modern technology to do so. Surely a malnutritioned Camel, and a Sword with chips in its edge from past conflicts are the preferred modus operandi?

Coss
"AutoNation Ford Gulf Freeway dealership" sounds like they support the Daesh, would not that be a worry? Or does the land of the free, support anyone if it's commerce?
Mekong
Gulf refers to "Gulf of Mexico" not Persian Gulf. He is in Texas City which is next to Galverston which is right on the Gulf of Mexico, many companies in TX, LA, and MI on the coast use Gulf in the name
Coss
Yes that maybe, I was drawing a long bow, rather than assuming that 'Gulf' indicated a location for the dealership.
