  1. OK I admit it I cheated, Just right clicked on the Photo and saw the title "Super Duper Cars only"
  2. Jitagawn 1,000 baht is equivalent to 10% of monthly salary for average Thai Family. In UK average income is £26,500 so equivalent to £220 fine in UK. Assure me many drivers in UK have got away with less than that.
  3. I dream of a 10PM or even Midnight Curfew over here in Rural Nam, damn even the city traffic lights switch off at 7:30 PM and at 9PM you are on the last dregs of Bia pay the Tinh Tien (Check Bin) and sent on ones way, not bad since I am up at 5:30AM and on the road back to site not long after for a Drive on a road that makes Hat Lek / Ko Kong border crossing and the ride to Phonm Phem seem like an expressway, 27KM takes 1h10m. Jeez Cannot complain I am here to make money which is the bottom line, maybe one day I will write my memoirs about life in Rural Nam.
  4. Who Blocked Payments before Suthep took to the streets FACTS Payments due since October Stick that in you pipe and smoke it

    Coup Declared

Somehow I think that I trust the opinion of a BM who has lived in Thailand for 40 years than that of Damian Grammaticas a BBC Reporter based in Beijing who only arrived in Bangkok on Friday.
  6. Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the Beginning all you need is two Hearts and a Diamond. By the end you wish you had a Club and a Spade!
  7. I once knew a BG who had no thumb, now I am wondering if she was a post op

  12. Army in Thailand announces imposition of martial law amid political crisis "to keep law and order" More to follow. http://www.bbc.com/n...d-asia-27480845 The army has also granted itself wide-ranging powers to enforce its decision. The military said it had taken the action to preserve peace and order. The move comes after a long-running political crisis, and escalating tensions between the government and the opposition. Earlier this month a court ordered Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and several cabinet ministers to step down.
  13. Worst kept secret in Football LVG appointed as next Manchester United Manager on a 3 year contract toady, Giggs has retired from professional football and will be LVG's assistant Ggigs career, 23 years a first team player, 963 appearances, 168 goals, 13 Premier Leagues, 4 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 9 Community Shields, 2 EUFA Champions Leagues, 1 EUFA Super Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup and 1 FIFA Club World Club.
  14. First off, Congratulations to Arsene for equalling the monumental achievements of Harry Redknapp and Alex McLeish in winning one domestic cup in 10 years. To achieve this against all odds, and against the mighty Hull is some feat! This of course, banishes eternally the argument that he can't win against big teams and the 6-3, 6-0 and 5-1 defeats are forgotten! I have a quote for you all: "There are two trophies. One is the league and the other is the Champions League. When you go to sign players they do not ask "how did you perform in the FA Cup?" Who said this? Arsene Wenger did! Then there's the assertion that winning the FA Cup will attract top signings. (Yet , I thought the 4th place trophy was supposed to attract the best?). When will Xavi be having his medical at Wigan then? They won it last year didn't they? A club with a wage bill over £150mil a year, a manager that's earned over £60mil in wages these last 9 years and the most expensive ticket prices in Europe...and the FA Cup is being celebrated like it was the World Cup itself! Look well done for winning it. This in the grand panorama though, changes nothing at all. Wenger isn't good enough, and all he's managed to do is finally match Wigan 'a achievements (Wigan beat a serious team in the final too). So with all due respect: if a FA Cup win is the elixir, does this mean you accept that Portsmouth and Wigan had been more successful teams than Arsenal until Saturday?
  15. Huumlaar, Not sure when it actually started, I do remember a few teething problems in the early days a couple of years ago when people could not get back into the country. Mrs Kong has been travelling back to forth to Vietnam with me for the for the past six months or so and it has always been part of the verification process. She renewed her passport in Feb 2013 and was issued a biometric one then when Eye Scan and Fingerprints were part of the application process. Here is a bit of info from Ministry of Foreign Affairs Website http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/1415/21478-Electronic-Passport.html
  16. Funny that you should say that, Thai immigration both on Exit and Re-entry for a Thai National has been using Biometrics for a couple of years now, Eye Scan (not sure if Iris or Retinal) and fingerprints for self Identification at the terminal to really speed up the process, I was surprised myself this morning when I got through in less than 5 minutes.
  17. Is that room temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, with or without Aircon.
  18. An amazing fact since Arsenal beat United in the 2005 FA Cup Final United have since won 5 Premier League Titles 1 Champions League 1 World Club Championship 3 League Cups 4 Community Shields

If single, no family in Thailand and over 50 years of age the Visa is a Non-Imm O-A (Retirement Visa) not a Non-Imm O (Family Support) For many years Police Clearance and medical report have been Required for a Non-Imm O-A Visa but not for a Non-Imm O, maybe you are confusing both. Here is some reading for you before you start mouthing off and talking shit http://www.thaiembas...a-o-a-long-stay I thought I have been rather polite. P.S. I am from the UK
