  1. Hi, "In Thailand ... where before the coronavirus you almost never saw anyone wearing a mask, except bank robbers maybe." Might depend on the area. Every time the pollution got bad, I usually saw loads of people wearing masks. Sanuk!
  2. Hi, We've been together 20 years already, so simple answer: Yes. Sanuk!
  3. Hi, Saw a promotion from the Marriott Hotel. 50% off if staying at least 2 nights, and 1,000 THB credit per day to spend in the hotel. Pretty good deal I think. Sanuk!
  4. Hi, It's been around since 1997 in one form or another. Sanuk!
  5. Hi, Gotta make sure we can get the Chinese hordes to come back as soon as possible Sanuk!
  6. Hi, Right, there is a lot of identifying info in that post. Certainly enough for the government to figure out who this guy is, if they cared enough that is. Sanuk!
  7. Hi, No idea, but I've not heard any rumours about the numbers not being correct. I'd think it would be a bit hard to keep quiet if the hospitals actually had loads of patients coming in. Sanuk!
  8. Hi, I wonder which companies this data will be sold to later. Sanuk!
  9. Hi, With regards to the exchange rate, IIRC there is a screen where it asks if you want to accept the exchange rate. Always say No, as that will result in the actual rate being used rather than the suggested one by the bank (which is inevitably in their favor). Same goes for paying with Paypal, always pay in the original currency as that results in a better exchange rate. Sanuk!
  10. Hi, Maybe we can do the finger print scanners on the way out of the country only? Sanuk!
  11. Hi, "Doesn't fit your biased, ignorant narrative" Isn't that exactly what CS mentioned the right is doing on climate change? With of course the major difference being that you put for forward the opinion/results from one doctor/test, while the right is ignoring 1000s of scientists and 100s of studies/tests. Oh, and I see you conveniently ignore his other point Sanuk!
  12. Hi Cav, No offense meant, but pretty much everything you post, I either disagree with or would classify as conspiracy bs. So, no, not gonna bother wasting time watching that clip I still like you though Sanuk!
  13. Hi, The fact you are posting, and endorsing, it makes me immediately skeptical of it Sanuk!
  14. Hi, "At meetings she'd take notes in Thai. " Andrew Biggs apparently does this as well. Writing Thai is something I've never learned. I read okay-ish (as long as it is not too difficult), but writing is beyond me. Sanuk!
  15. Hi, My Thai is pretty decent, but his is way more fluent - and natural sounding - than mine. Sanuk!
  16. Hi, Yes, I was quite shocked to hear this. Had plenty of a nice evening with Ben, and quite a few stories as well, but probably best not to post those. We'd not really been in touch for a few years unfortunately. RIP, Ben. KS
  17. Hi, "reveals-information-you-are-not-likely-to-hear-in-the-corporate-media/" I think this last bit of the URL tells me all I need to know about the credibility of the link. Sanuk!
  18. Hi, "For me, I always get a second opinion on medical issues thus what President Trump states is in no way a final opinion for me. " That would imply that Trump's opinion would be a first opinion? He has zero credibility on this as he has no medical expertise and to suggest ways of treatment is utterly irresponsible and has already led to the death of at least 1 person. "Errrr, my comment regarding alcohol, was a spoof..." While I had expected that, in light of some of your other posts, it is sometimes difficult to tell 😋 Sanuk!
  19. Hi, "This is what President Trump meant 555 " Bullshit. I saw the clip, he most definitely said disinfectants. Oh, and injecting yourself with alcohol or spraying it into your lungs is also a good way of ending up in hospital. Sanuk!
  20. Hi, "Still cannot make up my mind about Siam with those low numbers. Even if they fake all stats there should be lots of dying people. " Same here. I too was expecting that the figures might be under-reported, but I've not heard any rumors that things are worse than the government is saying. Some of the things that might have helped spread the disease is that washing hands is quite common here already, as is wearing of masks; and of course people don't have physical contact much when meeting each other (wai-ing instead of shaking heads or kissing as is done in the West). As Cav points out, the heat & humidity might also have an impact. Sanuk!
  21. Cav, I am with Bubi on this one. Not gonna bother replying to any of the conspiracy stuff either, and most definitely am not gonna waste time listening to some podcast. Oh, and just in case you want to follow Trump's latest piece of 'medical advice' (injecting yourself with disinfectant - WTF is the guy thinking????), then please don't. The board has few enough members as it is and I'd rather not see you die Sanuk!
  22. Hi, "Criminal Charges Dropped Against Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Researcher Judy Mikovits" So, how does that contradict Snopes? Sanuk!
  23. Hi, "The recent post...regarding Judy Mikovits...many errors " And your proof of that is based on? The podcast doesn't count. Sanuk!
  24. Hi, "Snopes is hardly credible." As opposed to some random Youtube video Just because Snopes discredits all the conspiracy crap does not make it untrustworthy. Rather the opposite I would say. Sanuk!
