Based on one visit to Phnom Phen I would not want to retire there. Laos is a good call, lovely although very quiet place. In Thailand I like the Chiang Mai area.

I assume you're referring to Cosmos and the two places next to it (can't remember names)? Unless something has changed in the last year Cosmos is dead day and night and stinks. The other two look very quiet at night so are probably very quiet during the day. The Crown Royal might be worth a try though.

And you'll end up in the lobby of the Regency Park hotel! Walk out of WS onto Soi 22, turn left and it's about 20-30 metres on the right hand side. A lot of the former WS patrons now drink in Bundys, which is on the left side of QPP, and is owned by Bundy (Ray) who is also a former WS patron.

Strange, I've flown hundreds of times yet I've never heard "them" say that?!

Was just looking at Lon > Bkk > Lon for next month and for biz class BA is £3000 (B150,000) and Emirates £2600 (B130,000). Not a lot in it really.
