june11
Doesn't it seem off to anyone that all the non-Thai food everyone is mentioned here is cooked by THAI's in thailand (very few exceptions to this....most italian restaurants, for example, have all thai people in them). So is this "non-thai" food you're talking about "authentic"? Or just good and authentic doesn't matter?
Brink15
All the non-Thai dishes I mentioned are from either the countries mentioned or are cooked by citizens of those countries working in restaurants in the US. I really have no interest in trying a Puerco Adobado cooked by a Thai. But to each his own.
khwaimaisabai
Says limbo: Is there a good Mexican restaurant in BKK? Hi limbo, Senor Pico, Rembrandt Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 18. Excellent - and a very good atmosphere with a Cuban band many nights. Khwai
Old Hippie
"... Puerco Adobado ..." If you are refering to the Filipino dish, I believe the proper name is Adobo Baboy...
Guest lazyphil
Outside LOS the most delectable food I had was, maybe, in South Africa. Be it freshly caught Sea Bass or a Potjiekos as I did out in the bush, nothing like the taste of local meats stewed with local herbs. Steaks here too are the best I?ve had. Its hard to say which is my favourite as OH said Italian is great, recently having top notch pizza in northern Italy. Depending how I?m feeling theres nothing nicer than a big fat doner kebab from my local mobile kebab van .....Roast Beef and Yorkshire pud takes some beating imHo

If you read my previous post I was referring to the Mexican dish. Filipino food does nothing for me.
