unit731
Here's the scoop. Izuzu is a world maker and seller of small, medium, and large lories/tractor trailors. They know trucks. If you want a mamby pamby truck take Toyota - as they make cars. If you want a real truck - go with Izuzu. Get the stripped down model with just air conditioning, automatic, and sound. When it comes time to sell/trade in you will depreciate less and have a better value for sale or trade-in. You never get your money back for fancy accessories and add-ons. You shouldn't pay more than 500 - 600,000 bhat.

Thais love fancy things. Selling second hand is especially hard if you dont have the "TOP" model. (thai word) 500- 600,000 will buy you a pickup farmer truck. good for taking veggies to the market. Plus since he has a family it would be nice to put the kid(s) in the back of the 4 door truck (760-850K) with the aircon instead of throw the baby and baby seat in the rear with the veggies. New Petchburi Pete
The truck is working out fine! Sure, it's a a little noisier than a car ... perhaps not as smooth a ride as a Corolla, but still it's fun to drive. I like the view of the road. This is the first truck I ever bought ... so far, so good!
