BelgianBoy
Straycat, A French philosopher, Sacha Guitry, once said never to hit a woman, not even with a rose....... I try the same philosophy with the laptop, except for the occasional swear Danish, Yes, exactly like you are looking over my shoulder to switch over its Fn+F5 here, still no video only the black box I'll check tomorrow for the card and the drivers, specially to see the overlay to TV........ All that to watch those cheap BKK copies Cheers !

limbo
BB. Don't give up yet, did you read the manual correctly? I didn't the first time around and now I can watch my DVD's on the TV screen after following the correct leads.
Guest
Maybe your graphics card has some settings, check. Might also be something to do with Pal vs Ntsc. But it is hard to something about it without hands on. To many options...... Doesn't toshiba have a support page. Play around. If it suddenly works....Write down what you did:-) I'm on mac,and had my own difficulties when setting it up for dvd... Good Luck Nick
think_too_mut
>Maybe your graphics card has some settings, check. Just asked one of my software engineers (on chat, he's overseas) and he said you need to have an S-Video cable that connects to TV. Many laptops require RGB/VGA external box that converts signals from PCMCA to TV. Search around or call some shop as you may have to see them anyway. BelgianBoy
Suadum, Exactly what we decided last nite Honestly, I have extra speakers as well, but to move the whole set up to the TV room and back, is not worth the effort IMO. So, later today I will be shopping for an all-zones DVD player Thanks for all imput guys, amen, over and out. Cheers !
