CDN
Hi, folks. I've got to get some Lego for a Thai friend's children. Is Lego sold in BKK? If 'yes,' what shops sell it, and is there a good selection? Cheers, CDN
Old Hippie
Have seen it at Gaysorns, across from World Trade center! Also I think Emporium has it? maybe MBK, not sure which store, but Gaysorns for sure...but...PANG MAK TEE SOOT! in other words really fucking expensive, best deals I've seen are on airplanes, or in the USA, maybe in Euro? Made in Europe some place isn't it?
Guest
Saw some at Tesco/Lotus but still mucho expensive. Best to bring it with you. There is also a local copy cat product, but I doubt they would be interchangable.

gummigut
Pretty sure they are not in Gaysorn. Over Christmas, someone had a huge Lego kiosk in Central Bagna. It is really expensive. I know several German families who bring them over when one goes home for a visit because it's just that expensive over here. <<burp>>
Guest
I've noticed them and generic brands in every large department store like a Robinsons, Central, Emporium. Decent, but not huge range of sets for different age groups. Some even have areas where kids can play with them right in the store. Lego's today are disappointing; you can only buy specialized sets designed for making the thing on the cover. When I was a kid you got a generic set and could build anything you wanted. Old Hippie
Might have been Robinsons now that I think about it, and Emprium also...I remember the big kits, free style lego! also books and magazines with blueprints, and contests! The smart kids build the set according to the picture then they rip it apart and build a spaceship from what was supposed to be a castle. Creativity does live !
