BelgianBoy
Guys, I apologise for starting a fresh thread, but...... GF is back in LOS and before her visit we used to webcam daily through Netmeeting. We would see each other online with MSN, then switch to Netmeeting and chat away...... BUT starting Netmeeting yesterday, it refers to MSN as MSN now supersedes Netmeeting :( Ok, then on MSN, we both manage to see each other by starting our mutual webcams, but no way to start sound and no way to start the videoconference at all..... What is the trick and what do we do wrong ??? or it this somewhere firewalled ??? but we can already see ........ Or any other program available out there ? skype + picture on the screen ??? Thanks ! chilli13
use skype for audio no competition & MSN or yahoo for webcam. netmeeting I only ever used at work long ago, but if that's working great with both webcam, chat & audio then simply get rid of MSN no? chilli13
skype for audio & msn for webcam is the way to go. bit confused how msn can replace netmeeting as msn don't really work well On corporate LAN's where it mainly was used :: anyways MS must know what they're doing
khunsanuk
Hi, Sounds is a different option you need to start (I think it's an icon with a microphone). Sanuk! (Not tried this myself btw, only used the cam, no sound)
rovineye
The option for sound is there, but we never use it. MSN was screwed for about a week but worked great today
BelgianBoy
All, There are 3 options : webcam, audio and videoconference...... Webcam and audio together would be fine, but does not seem to be working together, and I tried with GF and 2 other friends Video does not work at all..... So, is it MSN screwing up, or am I being firewalled or something else ??? Skype does work perfectly though great stuff...... she sounds like she is just next door BB
Guest
Hi BB, Listen to rovineye. MSN has had some major problems this week. So try again. You might have just hit them during one of their many 'glitches' this week. I just spent 3 hours with g/f, and all seems to be ok now. HT
