Guest
Defrag your hard drive at least 6 times and see what happens. People add and delete photos, etc. and do not realize how fragmented their hard drive can become. My digital camera's memory chips have to be defragged on a regular basis. The camera's tech support claims if the chips are not defragged, they might not work any more.
Old Hippie
How to defrag the camera chips? Also, have XP, need to defrag. I know I need to close all running applications before I start this. some say they cannot close because it will scew something up...so, how to do? also, is there a disk like system works that will just defrag when I am way from the computer? or defrag on a schedule? and will that do the same job without closing the other programs? BelgianBoy
OH, How do you download your pics from camera to PC ? Same thing, connect it, and Windows will "see" disc 'C' and 'D' plus 'F' from your camera. Select F to defrag, simple. And it work while doing other stuff, as long other stuff is not on that specific disc.... BB
keekwai
Also when you delete pics on a camera they actually aren't deleted. They're very easy to recover which may be helpful or could be embarrassing.
Guest
For cameras, try reformating. Saves time.
soongmak
I finally have done it. Downloaded a new version of nero and isobuster, followed the tutorial and made me a slipstreamed windows xp bootable cd. That should save me some time when reinstalling windows. Thanks to you and carlton. Cheers!
