PC slowing down, any known cause?

Defrag your hard drive at least 6 times and see what happens. People add and delete photos, etc. and do not realize how fragmented their hard drive can become. My digital camera's memory chips have to be defragged on a regular basis. The camera's tech support claims if the chips are not defragged, they might not work any more.

How to defrag the camera chips? Also, have XP, need to defrag. I know I need to close all running applications before I start this. some say they cannot close because it will scew something up...so, how to do? also, is there a disk like system works that will just defrag when I am way from the computer? or defrag on a schedule? and will that do the same job without closing the other programs?
