This has happened to my wife while walking in Bangna, 'cept it was a Tha man driving. She is scared of men who take an interest in her -maybe too much television news. It really is a nightmare sometimes. Some guys will blatantly proposition your women right in front of you whilst others will take a more subtle approach. It is of course much worse for the women when you are not around. Guys will harrass a women by any number of methods, following them, continually ringing them, using suggestive language etc I have told a number of guys over the years to f**k off but never gotten into a fight although have been close a few times. There are so many guys out there who are completely clueless when it comes to dealing with women. There are enough available women that you do not have to hit on ones already married or with guys. I don't even bother with women in these categories unless of course they blatantly make it clear they are interested in me and then i may proceed with extreme caution but i don't need the hassles quite frankly so i usually don't bother with women who are already involved. What I have seen in Thailand and Germany with such incidents is because men do NOT respect the women nor they respect her escort. The incidents I saw in Germany was more likely that the men thought a Thai woman was an easy target, the stigmatism of Thai women. That being said, I know that in discos or other nights venues, men pass the numbers around, why not? I asked a young man once, he told me, just fishing, does NOT mean a thing IMO, it is more likely that these men have no respect, especially for the woman, wonder why? In your idea, ugly women are best, I guess. Have you heard a song "If you want to be happy, make an ugly woman your wife"? I have seen ugly Thai women have affairs! Good looking women get continually hassled. This is a fact of life. I don't buy into the ugly woman makes a better wife deal. You can keep that one. I need to be attracted to a women if i am to have a relationship with her.
