Zaad
Really pisses me off as I can't get the 12 year old to go buy my beer! Really pisses me off as I can't get the 12 year old kid that hangs around the wife to go buy my beer! Are we playing 'spot the difference' or as they call it in Thailand 'find it'? ZMAN Z28
Don't buy it from 7-11 or the bigger places. JUst go to the smaller mom n pop places. I'll bet they sell it when ever they are open. Z
Fatbastard
Assuming That lotus know the rules, you can buy alcohol during these hours but only in 10 Lit (or more) quantities. Lotus are quite happy to sell me a carton of beer but not a single bottle of wine. Was told I had to buy 10 of the same type to "qualify"
gummigut
I was curious about this as I saw the "alcohol store" inside my local Lotus open and selling at 4pm. 10 liters eh? Guess that's a responsible amount. Binge drinking! <<burp>>
Flashermac
The signs are still up in my neighbourhood, but they seem to be being ignored.

Guest
This law was implemented, according to the government, so that school kids wouldn't buy alcohol after school. It's assumed that they are home with their parents by 5 PM. Wholesalers like Lotus and Macro can sell in larger quantities. This is now, apparently, being enforced throughout Thailand. I know it is being enforced in Surin.
