sayjann
heard a song today which reminded me of that great Day..... when i got married the #1 in the UK was 'The Theme From M*A*S*H(Suicide Is Painless)'. certainly would have been painless compared to the Divorce settlement...... so what songs remind you of that fine Day?. sorry if i bring back bad memories for any of the fold who do not have good memories...... but hey we must all have a bad Day here and there...... i suppose i will regret this question in time after seeing the reply from Mr.Fiery Jack........ ..
My favourite was during a friend's wedding in Miami in the wild days of the 80's. The DJ was going on about how Zack had requested this song for his bride Crash and how is summed up his feelings at the moment. Everyone was suitable in the "Awwww isn't that sweet" mode. Then the first strains of "Ohhh, Me So Horny" from 2Live Crew are heard... Brought the house down! Jing jing. You had to know these folks -- old boat racing buddies. Crash thought it was great! Of course here is a gal who got a boob job and would open her shirt at any given bar/restaraunt/marina/whereever for a few months after and ask anyone within sight if they looked/felt real. And this was no bimbo -- she was a Registered Nurse: Trauma Specialist (part of the med team that saved our dumb asses if we ever had a accident while racing). Guest lazyphil
White Wedding--Billy Idol as used in True Romance, thankfully I didn't have to rescue my Mrs from the grip of Drexel (Gary Oldman ) :: Hey suadum you're a Detroit lad, do you know the place where Clarence goes to collect Alabamas clothes from the Cathouse, looked a bit rough there! ..
Never saw the movie mate, but there are *lots* of areas of Detroit you don't want to be in at night. And a good number that you shouldn't be in during the day either! Cheers, SD
Guest lazyphil
Try and get a copy, its a cracking movie and very funny at times, will take you back to your youth :: **Alabama Whitman''s (Patricia Arquette) voice over introduction in True Romance (1993):''I had to come all-the-way from the highways and byways of Tallahassee, Florida, to Motor City, Detroit to find my true-love . If you gave me a million years to ponder I would never have guessed that true romance and Detroit would ever go together, and to this day the events that followed all seem like a distant dream. But the dream was real, and was to change our lives forever. I kept asking Clarence why our world seemed to be collapsing and everything seemed so shitty? And he''d say: That''s the way it goes, but don''t forget, it goes-the-other-way too. That''s the way romance is. Usually that''s the way it goes but every once in a while it goes-the-other-way too.''**

Lusty
I remember "looking for the most beautiful girl in the world"by Prince being played on my wedding day. If Prince had actually been looking for the most beautiful girl in the world at that time he certainly wouldn't have bothered comming anywhere near my wedding reception! :: When we were going through our vows the vicar lifted her vail up and asked if I needed time to think!
