Going to Iran, and leaving Iran, was about 14 or so, recall adopted mom screaming at some Turk to make her coffee (for some fucked up reason, she was screaming in German), she wanted the big cup of coffee, not the small, so he poured her a large one...turns out, it was "Turkish coffee," the thick kind... she damned near gagged...funny memory. My guess is, it would be, or at least claim to be, but never really trhought about the meats served in those places. I do know there are a few Kosher places in BKK some place...not sure where...
