Saiphon
Can anyone tell me if any of the IT centres are likely to be selling sets of some of the more recent TV series like "Desperate Housewives" or "Nip/Tuck"?
Palatkik
Never heard of these series, but the IT malls have some of the more mainstream fare from the US. I did notice a shop in Central World Trade mall (3rd floor) selling obscure Brit DVD sets - obscure at least to anyone outside of the UK. They even had Frankie Howard sets there! I wonder if he ever made it across the pond?
Saiphon
Thanks for the info. And by the way, both "Desperate Housewives" and "Nip/Tuck" are very big, very mainstream and both from USA!! I guess your TV in LOS gets more than a bit left behind the times, though you do have other compensations!!
Nervous_Dog
In Silom a friend of mine gets very good copies of DVD's, and some really odd movies, God's Must be Crazy, and lots of other rare gems, By the way, Monty Python at 3pm at House Cinema this Saturday DOG

gummigut
Yeah, at Silom my friend picked up two years of Friends for just 100 baht a disc. DVD9's. Much better deal than Fortune. <<burp>>
Old Hippie
Saw Sapranos and Friends (which I hate!) South Park, and many other sets at Phanthip Plaza, and also in Patpond area, on Silom, between the skytrain and PP. Happy hunting.
steffi
That shop is one of the most expensive in Bangkok. Try the shop at Chitlom BTS station they have reasonable prices on boxed sets. But that world trade center place does have the biggest set of british dvds I've seen but their prices are simply too high.
