I must say given the ultra-xenophobia and scumbag trade laws of thailand (neither angkor beer from cambodia nor beer lao has ever been allowed to be sold here, yet of course tons of thai beers are sold in those 2 countries), I'll believe it only when I see it myself... preahko Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ashman Posted May 2, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 2, 2006 Wasn't kidding, it's being sold in a place near Khao San - new restaurant selling Thai and Brit food called Oh My Cod! Went down there and was surprised to see the advertisements on the tables for the Beer Lao...65 Baht per bottle.....it was the real stuff too!! Place is on that soi next to the temple, Rambutri Soi i think its called and its in a square with a nice pond in the middle away from all traffic...almost like sitting next to Mekong river!!
