dddave
Frank made a surprising turn for the better today, quite a dramatic change really from yesterday. When Ed, Ken; a friend of Franks' who is fluent in French, and I arrived at 10:30, Frank was awake and alert. Because of resperater tubes, he was unable to speak but was able to communicate clearly with nods and eye blinks. He knew who we all were. When we asked if he was in any pain he responded no. We were able to assertain his personal wishes on a number of topics and was even able to respond to a bit of joking. When told of the support and contributions he had received, many from people he had never met, he was clearly moved. His vital signs were greatly improved tho he does still have an irregular heartbeat. His BP was 120/80 which was a dramatic improvement over two days ago. The Dr. feels Frank will be able to breate on his own by later this pm and he will try removing the tube to see how he does. That's all for now, I'll return to BKK tomorrow but probably go back to PP late next week. dddave
NongSung
That sounds great, cross my fingers that he will continue to improve like that! BTW. Can you give an update of the financial status (bills (paid & due), amounts received etc? Regards, Peter
New Petchburi Pete
Hey Dave, That sounds like great news to me. If he does rebound to the point of being discharged, I hope he starts listening to doctors' orders!

dean
Ddave, many thanks for going well beyond the call of duty. Keep us informed of Frank's medical bills, as well. Hopefully, he is on the road to recovery and that will take money.
