Everywhere else in Thailand 1000 baht a night will get you a very nice place to stay by my standards. But in Sukhumvit one has to pay at least 2000 baht to get the same level of comfort. What I'm asking now is does anybody know places in Bangkok that charge less than 1000 baht, have nice swimming pool and clean comfortable room and no joiner fee? If you are going for the girls there is no reason for bkk anyways, Pattaya has 3 times more girls on a 10 times smallers areal! But I like Bangkok for other reasons than bargirls and to cover all the other costs of having fun in Bangkok I rather stay in 1000 baht places, it's just so hard to find a decent one. Fortuna on Suk soi 5 at 1200 baht and Ruamchitt at 900-1000 baht have been the best value for money in the recent trips but there must be something better?
