cavanami
Under 1500 Baht, good job! However, you missed out on the free buffet lunch at the casinos. It is really free, with soft drinks included. I always turn down the assistance and do everything myself and save the $10...but then I spend $$$ winning my millions ( ) in the casino. Old Hippie
As I recall from my last venture there (August of 2005) the bottle neck was on the Thai side. Tons of line cutters a(ALL KUWAITIes/Arabs)and a real pain in the ass to deal with. None the less, I would do it again, as I like traveling to Siem Reap over land! waerth
And now for the big question .... is there any action on the Cambodian side or on the Aranya Prathet side?? It is an answer I have been looking for for years. there is millions of good reports on Cambo nightlife on different boards out there. But never anyone with info on the P4P to be had in Poipet, or on the Thai side for that matter. I know it is there, I am just looking for some details! Anybody care to eleborate? buddha
I have found some action at various karaoke venues on both sides of the border. You know the deal. Christmas lights, girls who look like they need a bath, A tv, and a ridiculously bad sound system. The Aranya Prathet side was in town. Also a good disco near the mermaid hotel. The Poi pet side was on the main strip into the casinos. Poi pet has a 'chicken farm' but it is quite a moto ride into the wilderness, quality sucks, and you are at the mercy of a bunch of different folks. Nothing happened to me, but you realize just how big a sitting duck you are. This was 2002. I paid 150 baht for shortime in Poipet in 2001. She was really hot. ultras67
And now for the big question .... is there any action on the Cambodian side or on the Aranya Prathet side?? I asked guys (who did a regular bkk - sr run) about a year or so ago and was basically told not to bother, basically its not safe or even medium quality - on the cambo side. Better to spend the money in pp or bkk.
