buffalo_bill
Gentlemen , in a matter of some urgency may I ask the community where and at what price a reasonable xray could be done in Bangkok . Over the phone I was quoted 15.000 Baht , sounds expensive to me . Your advice , as usual , is highly appreciated . BuBi
Bangkoktraveler
I went to the Police hospital, got x-rays of my foot and shoulder, a cast and meds and the bill was about $40.00 US. That would be about 1600 baht. I assume if you take the meds out and the cast the cost would be less. Oh, I forgot. I had to wait around to see a specialist. That was included in the bill also. cavanami
I went to Lerdsin and had my knee x-rayed and the total cost was 300 Baht (about $7.50 USD). I then had an MRI done on the knee and that cost 8,000 Baht. SOme private looking MRI factory, got an appointment and they had the latest Siemens MRI equipment. Between Mo Chit and the DM airport. cavanami
What is MRI ?? B. A non-invasive procedure that produces a two-dimensional view of an internal organ or structure, especially the brain and spinal cord. Much better and more detailed then a x-ray. Nervous_Dog
BB - Took my mum for a XRay and Payathai 2 Hospital when she fell walking out of the Casino on a visa run to Poi Pet. 3000 baht, including Doctors consultation and diagnose, MRI is always a lot more expensive. I had one done years ago when they discovered I was missing the lobes at the back of my brain. DOG - drooling
